I Don't Know What You Heard, But I Got Fired

I got fired from my job at a public school in Hillsborough County, Tampa, about two weeks ago. And because I know Administration has deceptive practices, I decided that I would tell the story. No, this is not my side or my version. It is just the truth.

I wanted to start telling this story while it was still Black History Month as I thought being [Black] fired during such a time was ironic. I considered YouTube; but my thoughts of the efforts required were too consuming. I am returning to what I know: writing. And I am going to take it one step at a time.

I would like to dedicate the truth to the lives that are being impacted by a toxic work environment in a climate and culture so hostile that it brings out the worst in everyone--from the bus drivers to the custodial staff to the office staff to the support staff to the teachers to the students to the parents and others who support families and school communities.
